Inspiration

Aligning obligations and schedules for family members is not easy. An app which helps us organize can help us achieve more things in life and make family life easier.

What it does

Tracks schedules, tasks, obligations, expenses, family goals, car services, and more.

How we built it

Using Flutter for the frontend and Serverpod for the backend, with a solid architecture that made Claude Code work with it efficiently.

Challenges we ran into

Designing the database and its schema in a generic enough way to cater to all the requirements.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Real-time updates between users on lists like shopping, and chat. Making an intuitive and usable calendar component.

What we learned

A lot about Serverpod and Serverpod Cloud and its great UX and easy deployment using the CLI tool.

What's next for Family Butler

Polish and production. It is an app with potential to be a core part of family life.
