It's a very common problem for groups of people and individuals alike to have trouble deciding where to eat on regular night - where you and your group of friends just want to eat somewhere safe and familiar. Our app will help you decide!
FamiliarEats will track where the user has eaten before and compile a database of these visited and "safe" restaurants. We use a super mathematical, advanced, and complex algorithm (haha not really) , to give the users the best suggestion, (Not plural) to ease the ever daunting increasing of choices. We use the Tinder idea of swipes to allow the user to swipe left or right for more choices or click into the restaurant suggestion for more detail, narrowing choices down and making the choice much easier.
For used Angular2 with a Firebase deployment to create this app.
We ran into trouble learning and understanding Angular2 but managed to achieve a certain level of functionality.
We plan on taking our app the the next level and adding more features such as a social aspect where you can see where your friends have chosen to eat.
