Inspiration

Our inspiration for the Fall Pomodoro project came from the upcoming midterm exams during this beautiful season of fall. We wanted to create a Pomodoro study timer that would perfectly align with the cozy and inspiring atmosphere of fall, with a turning leaf theme to set the mood.

What it does

The Fall Pomodoro app is a study time management tool that follows the Pomodoro technique. It helps users stay productive by breaking their study sessions into focused work intervals and short breaks, all while embracing the essence of autumn.

How we built it

We built the Fall Pomodoro app by utilizing various web development technologies. While none of us were proficient in JavaScript, we dedicated time to learn and apply the basics. The app was developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on creating an intuitive user interface and an efficient timer system.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we faced was centering various elements within the app's design. Additionally, as we were not initially skilled in JavaScript, there was a steep learning curve to overcome in order to implement the timer functionality effectively.

What we learned

Through this project, we gained a solid foundation in JavaScript, mastering the basics that allowed us to build a timer system. This project served as a valuable learning experience for all of us.

What's next for Fall Pomodoro

Planning to add a growing image of an autumn tree that grows and fully blooms by the time the Pomodoro timer ends
