Our project is an AI-powered fall detection system designed to protect elderly people living alone. Falls are one of the most serious health risks for seniors, often leading to injury, hospitalization, or worse. The biggest problem is that many falls happen at home without immediate assistance, causing dangerous delays in care.
We built a solution that combines computer vision, machine learning, and cloud technology to automatically detect when a person has fallen. Using a standard camera, our system analyzes human posture in real time and identifies sudden movements that indicate a fall. Once detected, the system can trigger an instant alert — notifying caregivers, family members, or even emergency services through IoT or cloud-based integrations.
This project is socially impactful because it provides seniors with safety and independence, while giving families peace of mind. From a business perspective, it can be integrated into smart home devices, healthcare platforms, or elderly care services as a subscription-based solution.
