I worked on some front end aspects of our project as well as learned python at the event to help our team access the information from Descartes Labs

I worked from the back-end to the front. I built a CSV extraction service that populated data used in our regression models and geoJason-powered maps. I dressed up the front end and added a French-Language version if this app (user base is in Morocco). I created geoJson files, fed them to Carto, and designed our maps.

Kevin Horan
I built crop yield prediction model. To predict individual independent variables (temperature, precipitation, NDVI), I used moving averages. To predict future crop yield (dependent variable), I used Extreme Optimization library (Math and Statistics Numerical Libraries for .NET) to do multiple linear regression analysis by plugging in the future independent variables.
