Inspiration

We were inspired by The Social Dilemma and the simplicity of games and how addicting they can be.

What it does

We created the skeleton for a fake social media account that displays the user's following account, level, and mental health as the number of posts increase.

How we built it

We built our prototype using Flutter SDK/Dart on VSCode.

Challenges we ran into

None of us had previous experience in Flutter.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud to be able to display the images and progress bars.

What we learned

How to set up Flutter, share code on GitHub, and how to create a simple webpage in dart.

What's next for Fakebook 1.0

We hope to implement the full functionality of our idea. For example, we want to implement a new post button that would increase like count and followers but also have random scandals or brand deals that may affect public image and mental health. Additionally, we wanted to add levels where users could buy upgrades as they advance.
