Inspiration
BIPOC individuals have historically faced disparities within the criminal justice system, including racial profiling, harsher sentencing, and wrongful convictions. For example, studies have shown that Black drivers are more likely to be pulled over by police compared to white drivers. African Americans are more likely to be arrested for drug-related offenses, even though drug usage rates are similar across racial groups. In India, minority communities, such as Muslims and Christians, have faced challenges in obtaining justice and fair treatment in the aftermath of communal riots and clashes. Many Asians and Indians also face racial discrimination in western countries from government and also their citizens and due to the emergence of covid-19 many asians being shunned by the western society. Also, due to this asians are being violently attacked by citizens of western countries. These examples illustrate the ongoing challenges and disparities faced by BIPOC individuals. Therefore, it's important to recognize these issues, advocate for reform, and work toward a more equitable and just system that treats all individuals fairly, regardless of their race or ethnicity.

- It helps in visualizing the data on false allegations and sentencing disparities using histograms, bargraph , bar-charts, scatter plots.
- It analyses effective implementation of government policies which are centered around BIPOC people.
- Many A dynamic system can be made which showcases the above insights to public along with bringing awareness among people about the plight of BIPOC people and injustice faced by them.
Challenges we ran into
There are many challenges faced by BIPOC people. Researching through many of those challenges, it was a challenging task to select one agenda that addresses most of their problems. Also it was not easy to decide for a solution for the problem we have chosen.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that this could be the potential solution for the injustice faced by BIPOC people and help them really get justice.
What we learned
We learned that to get insights from complex and big datasets such as legal documents, arrest and criminal records, court transcripts about how to analyse. We also learned to select a particular topic from a set of different topics and also to come up with an effective solution for a contemporary issue.
What's next for Justice Harbor
For justice Harbor , In future we will enhance its functionalities to build a dynamic system that addresses more problems of BIPOC people along with information of legal rights and law through an AIbot. Our aim is to make this system more reachable to public and collaborate with different governments to make it more accessible and legal.
