Project Inspiration and Development Story

The inspiration behind fAInansa stems from the glaring gap in financial inclusivity for over a billion Indians due to the absence of information in local languages. Our mission was to leverage AI and Tableau to bridge this linguistic barrier and empower users through personalized, multilingual financial guidance.

Building the Project

1. Multilingual Conversational AI:

  • Inspiration: Recognizing the linguistic diversity in India, we aimed to create an AI-powered financial advisor that communicates in various Indian languages.
  • Implementation: fAInansa was developed as a conversational AI application, engaging users in their preferred language.

2. Tableau Integration:

  • Inspiration: To provide users with visual insights into financial data, we envisioned integrating Tableau to enhance data visualization and analysis.
  • Implementation: Leveraging Tableau Developer Platform, we linked fAInansa to Tableau, offering users interactive and localized financial visualizations.

3. Talking Avatar Animation:

  • Inspiration: To enhance user engagement, we incorporated a realistic talking avatar in the app, creating a personalized touch.
  • Implementation: ReadyPlayerMe was employed to generate avatars from a single photo, ensuring users could interact with the app through familiar faces.

fAInansa is published on Google Play Store. As of now Tableau integration has not been done. If given time, we can integrate the following Tableau APIs and development tools:

  1. Dashboard Extensions API:

    • Use dashboard extensions to enhance user interactions and incorporate additional visual elements within Tableau dashboards for a richer user experience.

  2. Analytic Extensions API:

    • Leverage the Analytic Extensions API to integrate advanced analytics and computations directly into Tableau, enhancing the depth of financial insights provided by fAInansa.

  3. Tableau Rest API:

    • Utilize the Tableau REST API for seamless integration, enabling dynamic updates and data retrieval to keep the stock market information up-to-date within the Tableau dashboards.

  4. Web Data Connector:

    • Employ the Web Data Connector to integrate external financial data sources, ensuring real-time and accurate updates within Tableau visualizations.

  5. Javascript API:

    • Leverage the Javascript API to enhance user interactions and provide a dynamic and responsive interface within Tableau dashboards.

These selected tools can effectively contribute to the visualization of stock market data and support ChatGPT in providing prudent investment advice within the Tableau environment.
