Applying for the FAFSA is not an easy task. If you have never done it before, it can be an stressfull experience. FAFSA Mentors goal is to provide you with information to facilitate the process.

Inspiration

The Education Foundation gave a presentation about how they help students to go to college by teaching them how to find the opportunities right for them. During the presentation, it was discussed how complicated can be for people to apply for FAFSA for the first time and the requirements and term used can be confusing.

What it does

Our project presents important information about the FAFSA to faciliate the process for the people who are having trouble about how to apply

How we built it

It was entirely done using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

Not much experience in Web Development and some team members did not have enough time to work on their features so it was not possible to implement all desired features.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A search bar that only displays elements on the table that match the user input.

What we learned

I gained more experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

What's next for FAFSA Mentor

Adding a calendar that will display all priorities deadlines related to FAFSA like when is the last day one can apply depending of your state.
