Inspiration

As disinformation continues to spread at an alarming rate, it is more important than ever to arm ourselves with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively combat it. One way to do this is by conducting our own research and verifying the accuracy of the information we come across

What it does

Scrapes data from publications, breaks the data into simple datapoints, searches the web for sources that make the same claims and displays cross-referential results for users to more easily do their own research.

How we built it

ChatGPT, cohere, assembly API, Beautiful Soup

Challenges we ran into

Coded website in HTML and it wouldn't interface with Streamlit

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We started a day late, have never interacted with eachother before and built something with tons of potential!

What we learned

It's best to start as early as possible.
