Factory System- Empowering families Globally

From home to global markets: earning and learning for families.

Inspiration

Before joining this hackathon, I often wondered how to completely eliminate poverty. I saw children begging on the streets, feeling left out while other kids went to school. Temporary aid wasn’t enough. I realized the real solution is to empower families with work opportunities, preserving their dignity while ensuring children can continue learning. This inspired the idea of Factory System.

What it does

Factory System is a digital platform that allows low-income families to create handmade products at home, access video tutorials, and sell them on global marketplaces like Etsy and Amazon Handmade. All profits go directly to the families, and the organization supports children’s education while covering all operational costs.

How we built it

I used Canva, Figma, LibreOffice, and AI tools like ChatGPT to design the app interface, create tutorials, and refine the content. The system focuses on simple registration, product uploading, and access to easy-to-follow guides for handmade products.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenges were power outages and technical issues with my PC. Despite these, I was able to complete the design and workflow successfully.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I created a working prototype that connects families to global marketplaces while ensuring children can continue their education.

What we learned

I learned how to turn ideas into practical designs, visualize solutions, and leverage technology to create real-world impact.

What's next for Factory System – Empowering families globally

Next, we aim to launch the platform, onboard families, and expand access to more low-income communities worldwide, creating sustainable financial independence and educational opportunities.
