Factory games are fun… until they turn into spreadsheet hell. This project started from a simple question: what if factory management felt clean, visual, and not overwhelming?

I wanted to build a small factory simulation that focuses on core mechanics first production flow, resource movement, and player decision-making without drowning the player in unnecessary complexity.

What it Does

Factory is a browser-based factory simulation game where players manage production flow, resources, and simple automation mechanics.

The goal is straightforward: Build Optimize Improve efficiency …and watch the system grow.

No complicated tutorials, no bloated mechanics — just clear feedback and satisfying progression.

How I Built It

The project was built as a web-based interactive game, focusing on:

Clean UI

Responsive interactions Simple but expandable game logic I designed the system so it can be extended easily with more machines, resources, or mechanics in the future. The main challenge was balancing simplicity vs. depth — making sure the game feels interesting without becoming confusing.

Challenges I Ran Into

Designing a system that stays fun without complex rules Keeping performance smooth in the browser Making the UI intuitive so players don’t need instructions every two seconds A lot of iteration went into trimming features instead of adding more — which sounds easy, but isn’t.

What I Learned

Simple systems are harder than complex ones Good UX matters more than fancy features Clear visual feedback makes management games far more engaging This project reinforced the idea that clarity beats complexity.
