Inspiration

We often found that to-do lists were both lacking in features and lack in accountability. We sought to create both a better to-do list and one that keeps its users motivated and accountable with the help of their peers.

What it does

It's a to-do list, it helps you keep track of your goals. The twist is, users can issue each other challenges and post the goals and milestone's they've reached to their circle of friends.

How we built it

Using a frontend of Tailwind css, html, redux, and react.js and a backend using Firebase we created Facere.

Challenges we ran into

We found that almost every aspect of the project challenged us. It the first time for everyone using these technologies. Some especially challenging portions were using Firebase for user authentication and using Firestore to store user data and connecting it to the frontend. It was also difficult to learn React and redux on the fly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the design and polish we have on the project. We are especially proud of our backend integration and the storage of user's data on the cloud.

What we learned

We are all entirely new to web development, and it was our first time working with many technologies. Our competence grew at a rapid pace while working on our project.

What's next for Facere

We plan on continuing development and making it a fully fleshed out webpage and app.
