okay so i typed out a lot of nonsense to make this thing sound substantial but the truth is, we didn't write any code, so everything is just like purely focused on design

we already know it can't compare with others but this was just for fun. also the deadline is in like 4 hours.

Inspiration

We saw many other health apps either focusing on skincare, exercise, or nutrition. There was really no app that catered to all 3 needs. We were inspired through our parents, who worked long hours and rarely had time to focus on their health. When questioning them, they explained that it would be very useful to have an app where they could not only track their exercise and diet, but also recommend skincare products for them, through analysis of their skin.

What it does

FaceHealth can scan one's face for any skin concerns, such as acne. Through AI supervised machine learning (classification), FaceHealth can identify certain types of acne and recommend products best suited to clear the acne. However, unlike the name suggests, FaceHealth can actually do a lot more, such as recommending exercise routines. FaceHealth also serves as a logger app, where users can track their exercise and also their food intake for the day. It can also be synced with users' fitness trackers and apple watch, which makes it more convenient and accessible.

How we built it

We created a prototype using moqups, an online application used for app design. There are certain interactions possible within moqups that allow us to move from frame to frame in a way reminiscent of an actual phone.

Challenges we ran into

We had a short deadline that we were rushing to meet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we managed to create a prototype of an app that could be very useful to our target audience, overworked individuals.

What we learned

We learned to use moqups as a app design tool, and we also learned about different types of acne. In all seriousness though, we did learn teamwork skills.

What's next for FaceHealth

There is potential for FaceHealth to be further developed into an actual iOS app. We think the design is intuitive and simple-to-use, and there is a real niche for apps such as FaceHealth where there are multiple health aspects (skincare, exercise and nutrition). FaceHealth could possibly become a reality if there is enough demand for it. We have plans for it to be available first regionally in Singapore, before branching it out globally to countries with higher rates of overworked individuals, such as Mexico. Lastly, we envision it to be available worldwide in every single country with time.
