Microsoft's Face API has only begun to display its potential. We felt it would be incredibly cool if we could facilitate the process of having pictures taken, basically fun. We've heard numerous complaints or stories from parents and their experiences while taking a proper family photo. So, that's why we came up with FaceBooth.
What it does
The Kinect acts as as standalone device and tracks facial matters to ensure the perfect picture, once the whole group is smiling and all eyes are open it will snap a picture and post to Imgur, as well as twitter.
How I built it
We built Facebooth using the Kinect señsor and by tracking points the face.
Challenges I ran into
Lack of knowledge in the technology.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Using tokens to call different API's
What I learned
Some backend and different logic for communications.
What's next for Facebooth
In the future we plan to expand Facebooth to other social media platforms, and integrate facial recognition using Microsofts Face API.
