What originally inspired me to work on this project was that I worked on a motion detector OpenCV project in 2019 and I remember it being really interesting to interact with and not too much work for a hackathon.
What it does
Pretty much all the app does is use a dataset of classifications to help it recognize what a face looks like and then outlines any faces detected with a green border. this is all done in real-time over the webcam.
How we built it
I built this app with OpenCV and a built python library
Challenges we ran into
I already had worked on something similar in the past so I just needed to get an understanding of how to recognize certain images
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I was luckily able to finish the app in less than a day due to the low amount of work needed to get it running
What we learned
How different image classifications work
What's next for Face tracker
I'm not sure if I want to add on to it but I guess we'll know later in the future
