Inspiration
There are a few NFT communities that allow its owners to tie an ENS subdomain to their NFTs. Thus naming the NFT. With Face Fables, your NFT profile pic can have an actual profile! Link it to an ENS subdomain and voila, your NFT gets its own name and website. It's a fun, easy way to level up your NFT game!
What it does
The app allows the user to enter a profile/biography of the corresponding NFT. In this dappathon example a user inputs the number corresponding to their NFT to display the NFT profile picture along with a user entered profile.
How I built it
I started with the Spheron browser-upload sdk and revised the front end to create an html file that gets uploaded automatically using Spheron Storage. I made it simple for the user to copy the IPFS hash so it can be used to change the content record in the ENS app for the subdomain. The result is a working ENS website stored on IPFS.
What's next for Face Fables
Recently ENS added some additional utility to their subdomains. I think more NFT communities might consider a user friendly way to use subdomains to excite their fanbase, differentiate their brand and expand their reach. Perhaps it could grow into a more interactive way of communicating.
