Inspiration
In the maze of social interactions, we've all encountered the awkward moment of not remembering the name of someone we've previously met. Face-Book is our solution to the universal social dilemma of social forgetfulness.
What it does
Face-Book is an iPhone app that--discreetly--records and analyzes faces and conversations using your phone's camera and audio. Upon recognizing a familiar face, it instantly retrieves their name gathered during past saved conversations, as well as past interactions, and interesting tidbits – a true social lifesaver.
How we built it
Swift, Xcode, AWS Face Rekognition & Diarization, OpenAI.
Challenges we ran into
We navigated the uncharted waters of ethical boundaries and technical limitations, but our vision of a seamlessly connected world guided us. We didn't just build an app; we redefined social norms.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We take pride in Face-Book's unparalleled ability to strip away the veil of privacy, presenting it as the ultimate tool for social convenience. Our app isn't just a technological triumph; it's a gateway to omnipresent social awareness.
What we learned
Our journey revealed the immense potential of data in understanding and predicting human behavior. Every interaction is a data point, contributing to an ever-growing atlas of human connections.
What's next for Face-Book
The future is limitless. We envision Face-Book as a standard feature in smartphones, working hand-in-hand with governments worldwide. Imagine a society where every face is known, every interaction logged – a utopia of safety and social convenience. Porting it to an AR platform would also be nice.
