Fabric Sustainability Analyzer

Inspiration- GenZs obsession with micro trends in fashion can lead to a lot of waste and accelerate the growth of Fast Fashion. This application was made with the intention to spread awareness about certain fabric types and the climate impact they incur.

What it does

When user selects a fabric type, it shows the fabric's carbon footprint, water usage, sustainability score better alternatives.

How we built it

It was built using solely Python's GUI Framework- Tkinter

Challenges we ran into

The python dictionary (fabrics.py) was sourced using AI. A larger database can be used to make the analyzer more impactful.

Despite my limited experience, I'm really proud to successfully create an application that combines two of my most important interests- Climate Awareness and Fashion,

What we learned

I learned how to use a python dictionary to crate a user friendly application that spreads awareness about sustainable fashion choices.

What's next for Fabric Sustainability Analyzer

In future, i want to expand the data base to include more options also i want to connect this app to the web so that it can recommend sustainable clothing options from real online stores.
