Inspiration: From our personal experience of assembling products and reading of reviews/complaints, we knew the difficulties off reading and following instructions from printed manuals provided by manufactures when a product is purchased and requires assembly. The assembly may take a long time, and faulty assembly if instructions are not followed accurately. Thus, we thought that a voice/visual bot would help to better disseminate instructions, as it has been documented that visual & voice communication can help 1) better information retention, 2) time savings, and 3) ease of learning.

What it does: Our bot will provide instructions (visual and voice) to assemble &/or fix product. Customer will access instruction manual from manufacturer by scanning QR code of product. Once scanned, our bot will download the instructions provided by manufacturers w/visual and voice instructions. This will provide numerous advantages then current written manuals, including: 1) e-storage of manuals where customer can access at any time, 2) eliminate loss of written manuals by customer, 3) most importantly, ease of use and better customer experience. Moreover, advantages for manufacturers include 1) potential cost savings for manufactures w/elimination of printed materials, 2) refresh and update on instructions as needed, 3) potentially reduce liability risk.

How I built it: We use RunDexter.com application to build our bot
