Inspiration
Applying to FAANG Companies can be a stressful event as the interviews are known to be very difficult. That's why we decided to create a website that helps to alleviate some of the stress with selected questions that are commonly asked by FAANG companies.
What it does
There are 15+ questions for each FAANG section, and each one will give you a series of commonly asked questions by that company where you'll have options A through D to choose from and it'll tell you if you got it right or not.
How we built it
We built this website with HTML for the structure, CSS for visual appeal, and Python for the backend with Flask and Jinja for dynamic HTML and server hosting.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge we faced was trying to integrate Chat GPT API into our website. Due to our inexperience, we did not have enough time to learn and integrate it and had to resort to getting the functionality of the website down which was a set amount of questions and multiple choice.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to finish the project in a short amount of time while only working together virtually through git and discord while juggling college work and other life matters.
What we learned
We learned a bit about Chat GPT API, Flask, Jinja, HTML, CSS, and how to use Git.
What's next for FAANG Job Interview Prep website
With time, we have a plan to integrate Chat GPT API into the website to provide a more engaging experience for the user as well as possibly remove the multiple choice and replace it with a text box to provide an even more engaging and life-like simulation of what a FAANG interview could be like.
