We inspired by the problem of crowd management and how hard it is to manage a big crowd. Also, our goal to minimize the number of deaths and injuries during the Hajj.
What it does
it predicts if there are two groups heading toward each other direction and might collide so officers can take action and avoid the problem.
How we built it
We are using iBeacon device to connect it with a wearable device so it can collect all the data accurately through it.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting to ibeacon and measuring the distance.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to test the functionality of these devices using just two mobile applications acting as a sender and receiver.
What we learned
- We learned the different uses of iBeacon.
- How to implement an iBeacon in mobile devices.
- Many technical details in regard to sending and receiving protocol of iBeacon.
What's next for F67-HajjHackaton
We believe that our idea can really open the door to many advanced uses of the iBeacon in the Hajj and it could definitely help to improve the Hajj experience. For that, we determined to continue working on our project to better help all Muslims around the world have a great Hajj experience.
