Inspiration:
Our team loves to watch F1 games during our free time, and what else would test our knowledge more than a F1 wordle based game!
What it does
You are given 4 statistics as "hints" towards what F1 circuit is being referenced. You have to guess the circuit based off the hints, and for each guess you are given clues on what to guess next!
How we built it
Our team planned out key details on whiteboards and split up work based on what we felt confident in completing.
Challenges we ran into
Initially, the game was incomprehensibly hard because we did not give any hints. So we had to adjust in order to make the game playable and enjoyable. This was even more challenging because one of our team members were not able to sign up in time. We also had an issue with manipulating the API data in order to use it for what we need.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing our first hack and implementing a functional product that is complete! Coming into brickhack we did not know how we would be able to work under the 24hr time crunch, but with this project we proved to ourselves that we can do it!
What we learned
The inner workings of angular and frontend development. We also learned how to work around someone else's API. We finally learned how to work together as an group.
What's next for f1rdle
We want to implement multiple game modes and clean up some of the code to make it more efficient. After those implementations we want to create an sms based version.
