Promote apps from Pakistan for services domain and facilitate freelancers to earn money in PKR and avoid heavy deduction of currency exchange.

Story Behind:

As a working person, it's very hard to get things done all the time. I need a helping hand for the task for which I am not good or might need some leisure time by delegating some tasks and paying in return. On the other side, someone has skill but doesn’t have the full potential to benefit from it due to limited customer reach and

We hope that EzzyApp will have a positive impact on both the people who use it and the people who provide services through it. EzzyApp will make it easier to get things done and to have more leisure time. And for service providers, EzzyApp will create jobs and provide a way for them to earn extra income.

What it does

EzzyApp is a mobile platform that lets people find and hire highly skilled service providers from the comfort of their own homes. It is a convenient and safe way to get the services you need.

How we built it

The team went through an extensive process of SDLC ( Software Development Life Cycle). EzzyApp is a mobile and web application built on the MERN stack, which is a combination of MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. It is hosted on AWS and Google Cloud serverless services.

The high-level overview of how EzzyApp was built:

Planning and design: The first step was to plan and design the app. This involved defining the features, user flows, and user interface.

Backend development: The next step was to develop the backend of the app. This involved creating the database, APIs, and serverless functions (Business Logic).

Frontend development: In parallel to backend development, the front end of the app was developed. This involved creating the user interface and implementing the user flows.

Testing and deployment:The app was thoroughly tested to ensure that it was bug-free and met all of the requirements. App new features were continually rolled out to production as it was thoroughly tested.

Get feedback from users: It is important to get feedback from users throughout the development process. This helped to ensure that the app meets the needs of the target audience.

Build a team of experts: Building a successful app requires a team of experts with different skills and experience. We hired developers, designers, testers, and marketing professionals and got consultancy from professionals remotely as well.

In addition to these technologies and tools, EzzyApp also uses a number of third-party services, such as payment processors, email providers, and SMS providers.

EzzyApp was built by a team of talented and dedicated developers who are passionate about building products that make people's lives easier. The team worked closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and to develop a product that met those needs.

EzzyApp is a great example of how technology can be used to solve real problems and to make people's lives easier. It is also a great example of how serverless computing can be used to build scalable and performant applications.

Challenges we ran into

We faced a number of challenges while developing EzzyApp mobile and web apps on MERN stack on AWS and Google Cloud serverless services.

One of the biggest challenges was choosing the right serverless architecture. There are many different options available, and it can be difficult to know which one is best for specific needs. We have to carefully consider factors such as performance, scalability, and cost before making a decision.

Our aspiration to accommodate a growing user base posed a significant conundrum. Implementing effective scaling with serverless services proved to be a challenge we needed to conquer.

Once chosen a serverless architecture, we needed to set up and configure our environment. This can be a complex process, and there is a lot of documentation to learn. We had to spend a significant amount of time reading documentation and trying out different things before I got everything working properly.

Another challenge was developing and deploying my serverless applications. Developing serverless applications can be different from developing traditional web applications. We had to learn new concepts and technologies, such as event-driven programming and serverless frameworks.

Crafting APIs that were not only robust but also performed efficiently was no small feat. Wrangling authentication, input validation, and data retrieval became a task that required finesse.

Real-time updates, essential for functions like tracking service provider locations or instant messaging, presented a technical complexity demanding innovative solutions.

Debugging and troubleshooting serverless applications was also challenging. There are many different components that can go wrong, and it can be difficult to track down the source of a problem. We spent a lot of time debugging and troubleshooting applications before it was working properly.

In addition to these general challenges, We also faced specific challenges related to the MERN stack development on AWS and Google Cloud notification and map services. For example, to configure authentication and authorization for serverless applications, implement caching and data persistence, error handling, and unexpected events, and monitor and serverless optimization.

Despite these challenges, we successfully developed and deployed EzzyApp mobile and web apps on a multi-cloud environment that is AWS and Google Cloud. We learned a lot along the way, and we are proud of what we were able to accomplish.

Also learned online buying patterns about the Pakistani market, the digital services industry, and the challenges and rewards of developing and marketing a startup.

As per UN Sustainable Goal 8 for Economic Growth we strive to promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.

EzzyApp team is working on partnership modules for companies and organizations who need skilled resources for some fixed duration like 3 to 6 months or so without permanent employment liabilities of an employee. Furthermore capability to cater to the blue-collar less literate people (which is the biggest proportion of the local population), EzzyApp team is working hard to make apps more user-friendly.
