Inspiration

Reading and comprehension is a fundamental part of a modern society, yet can very often be hindered by factors out of our control. Whether it is Dyslexia, Impaired vision, small text or complicated text, reading can become so much easier if we were to apply some eye tracking.

What EzReader does

EzReader uses eye tracking from your built in webcam in order to help assist those reading long sprawls of paragraph after paragraph.

How we built it

The program is ran on Javascript, and the Example is ran on a HTML5/CSS website.

Challenges we ran into

If I wrote down all the challenges I experienced while working on the project, I would need a working version of this project in order to read them all. Whether it was with API issues, or changing programming languages midway through the Hackathon, there was challenges at every turn.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was really proud to get the Eye tracking working, and getting at the very least a prototype of what I want.

What we learned

Whether if you aim low or aim high, what matters at the end of the day is how much you did and how far you go. So aiming for the moon won't necessarily mean you will land among the stars.

What's next for EzReader

Finish The Prototype, get a fully working program
