📘 About the Project – EZ Services

🚀 What Inspired Me

As someone living in Morocco, I noticed how difficult it can be for people to find reliable service providers like plumbers, electricians, or cleaners. Many still rely on word of mouth, which often leads to delays, bad service, or no-show appointments. I wanted to create a platform that brings trust, speed, and simplicity to this everyday problem.

That’s how EZ Services was born — a website where Moroccans can quickly find and book trusted professionals near them.

💡 What I Learned

This project taught me more than just web development. I learned:

  • How to turn a local problem into a tech-based solution
  • How AI tools like Bolt can speed up web design
  • How to create a clean and responsive layout for both desktop and mobile
  • How important user experience (UX) is when building a product for everyday people
  • That small details — like language, icons, and service categories — matter a lot, especially in a local market

🛠️ How I Built It

  • I used Bolt, an AI-powered web builder, to kickstart the design and layout
  • Then, I customized the look, added Moroccan service categories, and optimized the user flow
  • I hosted the project on Netlify for fast, public demo access
  • The project is currently front-end only, but I plan to integrate features like user accounts, booking forms, and a real-time database

⚠️ Challenges I Faced

  • Localization: Adapting the platform to Moroccan needs — including services, languages (Darija/French), and expectations — took time and thought
  • Trust: Making users feel confident booking a service online in a market that’s still transitioning from offline habits
  • Limitations of the AI builder: While Bolt made the start faster, it was still necessary to tweak the design manually to get the right local feel
  • No backend yet: Since this is a demo, features like login, ratings, and payments are planned but not active yet

🧑‍💻 Final Thoughts

This is just the beginning. I am proud to be building something useful for Moroccan families and service providers. EZ Services aims to grow into a full-featured platform that simplifies life for users and creates new opportunities for local professionals.
