AS YOU ARE
Inspiration : As game-lovers, we thought of ways to include less-abled people to have a way to enjoy games without feeling excluded as most traditional games use hand-held controls. People with mobility issues have little to no access to these games, so our project introduces a concept of inviting everyone to play, as they are.
What it does : Other than hand-held controls, our game includes ways of playing with voice-commands or tracked eye-movements. The target audience for these games are children who can experience different storybook-like games making with captivating visuals and actions performed by their control of preference.
How we built it : We used Claude-Code mainly to vibe-code, Google Gemini in assisting bringing our in-game visuals to life.
Challenges we ran into : Making the voice-commands function on our first few tries.
Accomplishments that we're proud of : Overall look and feel of the game.
What we learned : AI is amazing.
What's next for As You Are : We hope to include more accessibility options in the future, and make the controls more efficient and maybe introduce more branches in each storyline.
