Making a more tourist friendly exploration experience

What it does

Using user location and the direction their facing, giving information about a building or monument they are looking at

How we built it

Using we react we gather user location and the direction their looking, and referencing that to wikimaps we give the user information on a structure if they are within a certain radius of it and facing its direction.

Challenges we ran into

Everyone had to learn how to use react, which was a pretty big hurdle for all of us to overcome because of the slow start.

We got a prototype working in time for submission

What's next for Eye Shot

Including food menus for food locations, routes for optimal sightseeing with difficulty and distance, preferences on types of structures the user can search for or discover. Have the user be able to ask questions about the place and get a response.
