What it does
The eye of Sauron remains constantly staring at you.
How we built it
Utilising openCV image recognition to track the faces, we calculate the direction the eye should be looking and send this data to a unity runtime which displays the eye.
Challenges we ran into
OpenGL is a shitshow. Unity is a bitch Coming to a hackathon without a working OS Dependencies are a pain, especially when running python as a C# subprocess.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Solid tracking of faces and managing to get something working.
What I learned
That 3D graphics are scary.
What's next for Eye of Sauron
Prettyfication/Ensure we have a backup if unity is a nogo.
