Inspiration
With the growing number of paralysis cases , we were inspired to create an accessible desktop application that allows users to move the cursor simply by moving their eyes.
What it does
Eye Assist uses an eye tracking system that allows users to navigate a device by moving their eyes. Along with this feature, Eye Assist also includes and accessible app that streamlines communication between the patient and caretaker. The patient is able to select different buttons that notify the caretake about specific needs.
How we built it
We used Flutter and Python's OpenCV to implement Eye Assist.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble moving the mouse according to eye movements.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It was the first time some of us have worked with machine learning.
What's next for Eye Assist
Eye Assist will release an SMS feature that allows notifications to send without internet.
