What it does

Extraction Point is a high-intensity pre-title sequence inspired by the cinematic language of Mission: Impossible, James Bond, and The Bourne Identity.
It follows a secret agent as he infiltrates a futuristic corporate tower, steals classified data, and escapes under fire through the heart of a modern city.
The sequence blends tension, choreography, and immersive sound design to recreate the rhythm and visual grammar of classic spy-action cinema — entirely generated through AI visual.

How we built it

We developed the project using a hybrid AI–human pipeline.

• Visuals were generated in Midjourney V7, using a consistent seed and lighting palette for visual coherence across all shots.
  
• Motion sequences (e.g., chases, explosions, and transitions) were created with Midjourney V7 and Kling 2.5 to simulate cinematic camera movement.
  
• The editing and pacing were refined in DaVinci Resolve, aligning visual cuts with the evolving musical structure.
  
• Music and sound design were composed and mixed in Logic Pro X, combining orchestral elements, electronic textures, and dynamic sound effects to support narrative tension. -Voice: ElevenLabs

This approach allowed full control over mood, rhythm, and continuity — balancing AI generation with traditional cinematic craft.

Challenges we ran into

• Maintaining character and vehicle consistency across multiple AI-generated frames.
  
• Achieving realistic motion continuity in chase sequences using evolving AI video tools.
  
• Synchronizing AI-rendered visuals with original sound design while preserving emotional flow.
  
• Managing render time and stylistic uniformity between Midjourney stills and Kling-generated motion clips.
  

Each challenge required iteration, testing, and manual grading in DaVinci to achieve a coherent cinematic look.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Building a fully AI-generated action sequence that feels human-directed and rhythmically alive.
  
• Creating a believable spy narrative without live footage, only through design, editing, and sound.
  
• Developing a streamlined workflow that connects Midjourney V7 and Kling 2.5 outputs directly into DaVinci Resolve.
  
• Delivering a polished cinematic short that stands alongside traditional action film openings in pace and tone.

What we learned

This project demonstrated how AI tools can now extend beyond concept art into cinematic storytelling.
We learned to treat AI not as a shortcut but as a creative collaborator, requiring direction, iteration, and artistic judgment.
By mastering the interplay between image generation, motion design, and sound, we discovered a new form of hybrid filmmaking — one where human narrative control meets machine-driven imagery.

Extraction Point is both an experiment and a proof of concept:
that even the most complex genres — action, espionage, suspense — can now be reimagined through AI with cinematic precision.
