After writing McKinsey's Women in the Workplace 2024 report, I was shocked by the data around the gender pay gap, especially because of "the broken rung." Women experience a broken rung on the ladder to career promotion because they don't negotiate salary raises and promotions at the same rates as men. During my time at Booth, I've seen my friends prepare to negotiate higher salaries with hiring managers and their bosses, but role playing never fully prepares them for the real experience. Role playing these difficult conversations with friends and family is hard when those you love will never be as challenging, rigorous, or unreasonable as your actual boss. You'll also never be as nervous when you're role playing with a familiar face.

exposARe allows you to role play with an AI generated video of your boss. After creating an animated video of your boss's LinkedIn photo using any AI video generation software, you can upload this video to our platform. You can then look your boss directly in the AI while communicating your goals, aspirations, and argument via our state of the art chatbot. We built this platform using Lovable and our state of the art Grok chatbot allows you to participate in hyper-realistic simulations of real world scenarios. Our cutting edge negotiation software even allows you to customize the tone, personality, workplace environment characteristics, and more to help this role play prepare you for your real world negotiation.

In the future, exposARe will have the capabilities for you to upload images of your boss and have AI videos generated within the app. Additionally, you will have the option of communicating with your AI boss aloud, instead of via chatbot. With customization options for tone of voice, accents, and favorite phrases your boss uses, your role playing experience will feel like you are actually in your boss's office negotiating your pay, even better preparation for your upcoming negotiation.
