Inspiration:

We created eXPlore, an educational dashboard to help students organize their tasks to be prepared for school. Because of COVID-19 and remote learning, many students struggle with time management, keeping track of their tasks, and finding opportunities. Both of us are students, and we know this feeling is very overwhelming. Therefore, we created a platform for all students to keep track of their assignments, find resources and opportunities to enhance their learning that may have been missed otherwise.

What It Does:

First, on the homepage, we can create an account or login. Next, we are taken to our dashboard. In our dashboard, we see three free programs the user can participate in, of different interests. All these programs are suitable for high school students, but also give students an insight into careers they may be interested in.

Then, we have a to-do/goals list for students. We have some listed items in the list that may be common in back to school season. You can mark the task as done by clicking on it or delete it. We can also add items to the list by writing the task.

On the right, we have a resources list for different subjects. Students may select subjects they need assistance with and will be sent to Khan Academy for the subject.

You can also use the search bar to find specific items, and all parts of our explanation are self-explanatory, making the web application easy to use. Then, we have the calendar page. In the calendar page, you can keep track of your daily activities. We can also delete an event and add it to another day.

Finally, we have an open forum where students can ask questions about general things or a specific subject. You can switch between channels and also write comments or answer others’ questions.
