result with curiosity riover with MAST camera and 25th sol
Inspiration 🤔
I was actually late to join the SBUhacks, and had no idea what to build so after looking at the official website of SBUHacks I decided to build something related to space, that everyone would love to see. So after many failed attempts, I decided to build this project.
What it does 🌏
which basically let to get pictures from mars, all you have to do is to choose the rover and then the camera it has and finally chooses sol, it is a term used to represent a day on Mars, and then it will give you every picture that is available of mars for that sol.
How I built it 🔨
This is a very lightweight project made with Node, express, and ejs with a simple API, and the frontend is done with bootstrap.
Challenges I ran into 😵
This was my first time using an API and ejs with node so I had to find every resource I could find and I had many bugs in the whole project that I had to solve overnight. I am hacking from INDIA so the time is also different which was also a problem.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I made a fully functioning app within 24 hours while attending my online classes, and using technologies I have never used before.

I learned about axios, ejs, and API while building this project
What's next for Explore-mars-with-tech
Currently, it only shows the mars pictures, but I am planning to add more functionality
How-To
Go (here)[https://explore-space-with-tech.iamyashvardhan6.repl.co/] and choose "curiosity" as rover and "MAST" as camera and put 25 in the sol field and click explore. You can try out with different values of cameras and rovers. Some photos might not be available to so you can try different values.
