Inspiration
I thought about how google earth shows you the whole world, but you have to search it up if you want to know facts about those places- so I tried to fix that with this game.
What it does
As you click on the different continents, it will show a random scenery and a random fun fact related to the picture that is inside of/about that continent
How I built it
Using p5js.org (javascript).
Challenges I ran into
I'm not sure why, but the text wasn't showing correctly when I used the text() function. So, I had to go to MS Paint and type out the facts, then upload the image after removing the background onto p5. This wasted a lot of my time...
I wasn't able to completely finish it either, due to the time limit, and had to compromise on getting to facts for all the continents. At this point, it only has Europe and Antarctica, and it's not formatted well either.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I was able to get the main idea of the game down, which is great. I also made a pretty nice looking play button (:
What I learned
I need to figure out how to manage my time faster when I code, and not spend so much time on trying to make the graphics perfect when I'm pressed for time.
What's next for Exploradores
I still have to completely finish. It should look nice and polished once I'm done though! (:
