The first ever emoji-only text messaging app and game!
Use emoji to say everything and anything you need to say. And do it on your Gear smartwatch. Typing on a watch is just too much... so tap a few emoji and flick to send! It's that simple. Weaving the concept of the wildly popular messaging app that recently took the tech world by storm, Yo, with a simple and fun turn-based game idea, we present Exploji. Exploji is a relationship-based mobile messaging app that allows users to “blow each other up” with popular emoji characters. You can communicate important messages quickly through pictures or simply have some fun with your friends.
Tell your friends you’re late to dinner:

Or that you won money at the casino:
Exploji, loosely based on the term emoji - those emoticons most of us have incorporated into our mobile keyboards for communicating feelings along with our words in our text messages, emails, and social posts – is essentially picture-based messaging, but with a twist. When you send an Exploji to a contact, it pops up in their notification bar. If the recipient doesn’t respond within 10 seconds, the notification disappears. This message expiration feature mirrors some of the appeal of SnapChat, but focuses more on timeliness of the message. If you’re not actively looking at your phone and interested in synchronous communication, it simply goes away.
Exploji also allows users the ease of an app which doesn’t require thread or conversation management. This means that corporations, sports teams, or event managers can communicate real-time during an event with their audience or fans, without the burden of overflowing a text thread or email inbox with messages that either should come with a spoiler alert, or need to be tediously deleted at a later time. Often people avoid Twitter and the Internet for hours at a time for fear that the game they recorded and want to watch later will be spoiled for them. Not with Exploji – any notification that you don’t respond to within 10 seconds disappears without disrupting you.
In addition, Exploji has a fun competitive aspect. Each time an Exploji from a personal contact expires before you respond, it “blows up” and the sender gets a point. If the recipient answers in time though, the return Exploji only allows another ten seconds for the initial sender to respond before it blows up as well. The volley continues this way until someone misses – giving the other person an Exploji point. It is a super simple and fast way to have fun messaging banter. But, for those of you without the competitive play urge, Exploji is for you too – just send a pointless Exploji. Then it’s game off, but you still get to quickly send your favorite emoji when you just have a second to let someone know you’re thinking about them with a thumbs up (or perhaps a poodle or an ear of corn?).
We feel that this gives smartphone users who typically lead fast-paced lives the ability to send a feeling and perhaps some fun throughout the day to those they care about without having to spend a great deal of time on composing word-based text messages to convey their thoughts. Depending on the relationship with each contact, each emoji may mean something different contextually.
