Inspiration

The inspiration for ExpertConnect sprouted from a simple yet profound desire: to create an app that effortlessly links users seeking guidance with industry experts and knowledgeable figures. I understand the psychology behind offering users a selection of responses from experts, understanding that having multiple perspectives can greatly enhance their decision-making and learning experiences. By providing users with three personalized responses, I aim to empower them to choose the advice or guidance that resonates most with their needs and preferences. Moreover, the feeling of receiving personalized insights from renowned experts adds a layer of value that goes beyond generic assistance. Whether it's advice or creativity, users can benefit from possible tailored responses crafted by experts in their respective fields. My goal is to enhance the user experience by offering a platform where guidance feels both valuable and personalized.

What it does

ExpertConnect assists users in seeking assistance, solutions, ideas or knowledge content on a wide range of topics. Users provide a topic for which they need assistance, and optionally specify a country for localized expertise. The app then identifies the domain or industry of the topic and suggests three experts who could provide the best guidance based on their expertise. Each expert is accompanied by a brief introduction and possible responses or ideas relevant to the topic.

Additionally, the app provides a widget for additional resources related to the user's topic of interest. This ensures that users have access to comprehensive information and resources to address their queries or concerns.

Furthermore, ExpertConnect features a chatbot interface where users can engage in conversations to clarify doubts, seek further assistance, or explore additional experts to seek assistance from.

How we built it

ExpertConnect was constructed solely using the PartyRock-provided widgets, coupled with suitable ML models. Numerous trial and error iterations were conducted to explore the capabilities of the widgets, ultimately leading to the conception of ExpertConnect.

Challenges we ran into

One of the primary challenges I faced was identifying the app idea and subsequently selecting suitable machine learning models with appropriate prompts to ensure the desired responses.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I take pride in brainstorming various concepts for the app and embracing a creative approach during its exploration. Upon completing the app, I realized its personal significance, as it aligns with my belief in seeking advice and assistance from experts rather than acquaintances. This platform offers users the opportunity to obtain solutions and ideas discreetly from expert perspectives, a notion I find particularly valuable.

What we learned

Throughout the development journey of ExpertConnect, I acquired valuable insights into the functionalities and features of AWS PartyRock. I also identified several areas of improvement and limitations, which contributed to my learning experience.

What's next for ExpertConnect

While immediate updates are not on the horizon, I foresee integrating features like Analytics and Feedback, giving working proper website links, along with enhanced Personalization, once support for such integration becomes available.
