ExpenSync

Our inspiration for building this expense tracker came from the common struggle of managing daily finances effectively, especially for students and young professionals. We built the project using technologies like For our AI-powered Expense Tracker, we used React.js with Tailwind CSS for a clean frontend and Node.js with Express for backend APIs, deployed on AWS Lambda with API Gateway for serverless architecture. Data is stored in Amazon DynamoDB and receipts in Amazon S3. Amazon Bedrock powers AI insights, while Textract handles receipt scanning and Comprehend enables text analysis. Amazon Cognito secures authentication, and AWS Amplify with CloudWatch manages deployment and monitoring. to provide a seamless experience for tracking expenses, categorizing them, and visualizing spending patterns. Throughout the process, we learned a lot about integrating front-end and back-end systems, handling user data securely, and deploying applications efficiently. The main challenges we faced were ensuring accurate expense categorization, real-time data synchronization, and completing the project within the limited time frame, but teamwork and consistent effort helped us overcome them successfully.
