The Expense Tracker App is a full-stack application that helps users manage their finances by tracking income and expenses. It offers features like adding, editing, and deleting transactions, visualizing data with charts, and categorizing transactions for better financial insights.

Run Locally

Clone the project

  git clone https://github.com/animesh156/Expensy.git

Go to the project directory

 cd expense-tracker

Install dependencies

  cd client
  npm install

  cd ../server
  npm install

Set up environment variables

 MONGO_URI=<your-mongodb-connection-string>  
JWT_SECRET=<your-jwt-secret>

Start the server

  client
  npm run dev

  server
  node index.js

Open your browser and navigate to:

http://localhost:3000
