One App to manage your expenses

Inspiration

Juggling between apps to keep track of my personal expenses. So, why not have one single app do it all, keep track of expenses, split the bills( with a friend ), and even make saving plans( say for a trip )

How I built it

Currently, a WebApp working along with Firebase

Challenges I ran into

Plenty of configuration issues, \n Could get started with react npx create-react-app expense-tracker would just not work.

Well, I procrastinated and thought of quitting and I am here.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Submitting this project for the hackathon 🕺 🎉

What I learned

  1. Not to give up
  2. I've been working on a couple of projects with react and firebase, but still I feel I'm new to it, I think need more Practice Practice.

Limitations

As of now, we can only add expenses to the Application

What's next for Expense Tracker

  1. Complete the core application ( edit, delete ).
  2. Try out OCR or something to get texts from receipts ( Probably improve the UX - By not entering data manually ).
  3. Onboarding - Connect existing apps to their API's.
  4. Planner - Create a saving plan for a particular task ( Buy a camera ).
