Expanda

Inspiration

We, as LGBT, see Japanese society to be very closed and behind in this area. We believe, non-LGBT don’t have a strong sense of ownership, regarding this matter. News and information is not delivered in a way that nurtures people’s mind and changes their view. The communication is only one-way, and people don’t have an opportunity to experience such situation, thus not able to have ownership.

Expanda provides this new experience.

What it does

Expanda AI will fill your schedule with new experience.

Expanda will use Facebook logs and Expanda logs to define what the user’s recent interest is, and fill in their schedule with experience which does not match their interest.

Key Factors: -Schedule will be filled automatically by Expanda, so it obligates user to experience new interests -By not matching user’s interest, it enables user to experience new fields

How we built it

Unfortunately, we could not build a prototype, only a web page, that shows the scheme and transition.

Challenges we ran into

Lack of engineer

We had our idea ready on the second day, around noon, and noticed that in order to make a prototype, we needed an engineer who understood the method for building an AI , deep learning system.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We believe this service could give people with new awareness, and change their minds. It is a simple, yet a new way to deliver new experience, and we are proud to have come up with this idea.
