The idea for ExoVet spawned from our concern for a friend's pet rabbits. He found it difficult to find pet care facilities that offered services for rabbits. This android application was created to help people, especially those with less common pets, to find the closest vets that were able to take care of their pets.
ExoVet allows users to quickly find nearby, open veterinary hospitals in a single a touch. After selecting their type of pet, uses will be shown a selection of nearby vet clinics based on their current location. By tapping on a marker, the clinic's name, address, and rating. They will then be able to use google maps to get directions to the clinic.
Development of this app faced several problems of cosmic proportions. From severe hardware failure to demon cell phones there was no shortage of set backs or tears. However, through these struggles all of us learned important lessons about the significance of hardware and the fragility of the human psyche. However, in the end, we developed an application that we are proud of due to our resilience and hard work.
