Workplace experiences can have a lasting impact on people's careers, confidence, and well-being. However, many employees hesitate to speak about workplace challenges because they fear judgment, retaliation, or being ignored.

We created Exitvoice to give people a platform to share their workplace experiences and help organizations understand recurring problems. Our vision is to turn individual voices into meaningful insights that can contribute to better workplace cultures.

What it does

Exitvoice is a workplace experience-sharing platform designed to help employees express their experiences and help organizations understand common workplace concerns.

Our vision for Exitvoice AI is to extend this concept using Generative AI to:

Analyze workplace stories and categorize common concerns.
Identify recurring themes such as excessive workload, poor management, and communication problems.
Generate summaries of aggregated employee feedback.
Provide actionable recommendations to help organizations address recurring issues.
Track changes in reported concerns over time.

The platform aims to connect employee experiences with meaningful organizational improvements while prioritizing privacy and responsible data handling.

How we built it

We started by defining the problem and designing a platform centered on employee experiences.

Our development approach focuses on creating a clean, accessible interface for submitting and exploring workplace stories. The planned technical architecture includes a frontend application, a backend database for storing submissions, and AI services for analyzing feedback and generating insights.

The intended AI workflow involves classifying submitted stories, identifying recurring themes, summarizing aggregated feedback, and generating recommendations for human review.

Our next development priority is integrating these capabilities into a working end-to-end application.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was identifying how to make Exitvoice more useful than a conventional workplace review platform.

We explored how AI could transform individual stories into broader organizational insights instead of simply generating text.

Another important challenge is protecting contributors' privacy while allowing organizations to understand recurring issues. The platform must also avoid treating unverified allegations as established facts.

We are addressing these challenges by prioritizing privacy-conscious design, evidence-based analysis, and human review of AI-generated recommendations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We developed the Exitvoice concept around a meaningful problem that affects employees across different industries.

We are proud of our focus on creating a platform where workplace experiences can contribute to a broader understanding of organizational challenges.

We also identified an opportunity to extend the platform beyond story sharing by introducing AI-assisted analysis and an improvement-tracking workflow.

Our goal is to build a practical solution that connects employee feedback with actionable insights.

What we learned

This project helped us understand that solving a real-world problem requires more than building an application with an attractive interface.

We learned the importance of identifying a clear problem, designing around users' needs, and choosing technology that provides practical value.

We also recognized that AI-generated insights must be supported by evidence, that user privacy must be considered from the beginning, and that technology should support rather than replace human judgment.

What's next for Exitvoice

Our next goal is to develop Exitvoice into an AI-powered workplace intelligence platform.

We plan to implement AI-assisted story classification, recurring-theme detection, aggregated analytics, and recommendations for workplace improvements.

We also aim to introduce privacy safeguards, moderation tools, and an impact-tracking dashboard that helps organizations evaluate changes in reported employee concerns.

Our long-term vision is to help transform workplace experiences into constructive conversations and meaningful improvements.
