Why ExitKit

Moving out should end with a handover, not an argument over the deposit. Photos get scattered across chats, final meter readings get missed, and a shared deduction can quietly become someone else's bill. ExitKit puts the evidence and the agreed numbers in one place.

What it does

Roommates record the flat, move-out date and each person's deposit contribution. A guided walkthrough covers the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room: mark each checklist item OK or Issue, then add photos and captions.

Next come the final electricity, water and gas readings, plus agreed deductions. Each deduction is either shared equally or charged to one person. ExitKit calculates each person's refund in integer paise, with a fixed rounding rule so the totals add up exactly.

The walkthrough, settlement and pack preview are free. A one-time purchase unlocks a shareable PDF handover pack with the photos, checklists, readings, deductions and settlement table. ExitKit records what people agreed on; it is not legal advice or a dispute-resolution service.

How it is built

ExitKit is a React and TypeScript app built with Vite and packaged for Android with Capacitor. The PDF is generated on-device with pdf-lib. Data stays on the device; there is no account or cloud sync.

The RevenueCat Purchases Capacitor SDK handles the one-time non-consumable product exitkit_pack_unlock, the handover_pack entitlement and purchase restoration. The demo shows a RevenueCat Test Store purchase on a real Android device. Test Store purchases are simulated and do not charge money. The web link is a browser preview; the purchase flow requires the Android app.

Scope and checks

The build keeps the room templates fixed and leaves out OCR, AI features, cloud storage and legal advice. The settlement uses deterministic integer arithmetic rather than floating-point money calculations. The repository includes 15 settlement and pack tests, a committed Android project and setup instructions for a fresh clone.

AI coding assistance was used during development. The source is public under the MIT licence.
