Inspiration
We created this app understanding that there are many exercise trackers that are difficult to understand quickly and demotivates users to continue logging their progress.
What it does
Our app implements a design that is appealing to the user's eye, reducing the amount common feeling of overwhelming functions in other exercise trackers. Users are started with a calendar interface which they can either click the current day and add their routine or click a previous day to view the history.
How we built it
On front end, we used Angular, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript to create a visual appealing user interface. Spring and Java were used for the backend to manipulate data from the user and save it into a database.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges we ran into were combining the frontend and backend together to work with each other. Ensuring that data bases were correctly inputted was a major issue we encountered.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our perseverance in learning learn information. Attempting to challenge a new environment and able to learn from our mistakes.
What we learned
We learned new skills understanding the connection between the two frontend and backend languages. We also gained the experience of the technical and soft skills by coding a real-world issue with the pressure of time.
What's next for Exercise App
We plan to add a motivation for users to exercise with partners using a common method used my wide social media named "streaks". Refining our app in order to have an easier experience for users. We plan to also add more ways for users to implement their own way of how they want their interface to look like.
