## Inspiration

Building a successful company requires much more than a great idea. Founders constantly switch between strategic planning, product development, engineering management, hiring, marketing, operations, and financial decision-making. Large organizations solve this by hiring an entire executive team, but startups and small businesses rarely have access to that level of expertise.

At the same time, most AI tools today act as assistants that answer questions but stop short of taking meaningful action.

We wanted to build something different: an AI system that doesn't just advise founders—it helps them execute.

That vision led to ExecutiveOS AI, an autonomous AI Executive Board powered by Gemini, where specialized AI executives collaborate to transform business goals into actionable plans, tasks, and outcomes. By integrating GitLab through MCP, ExecutiveOS AI bridges the gap between strategy and execution, enabling users to move from ideas to organized workstreams within minutes.

## What it does

ExecutiveOS AI acts as an entire AI-powered executive leadership team.

The platform consists of specialized executive agents:

  • CEO Agent – Strategy, vision, and decision-making
  • CTO Agent – Technical architecture and engineering planning
  • CFO Agent – Financial forecasting and budgeting
  • COO Agent – Operations and execution planning
  • CMO Agent – Marketing and growth strategy
  • CHRO Agent – Hiring and organizational planning
  • Chief Strategy Officer Agent – Long-term growth and expansion

Users simply provide a business objective such as:

"Launch a grocery delivery startup."

The executive board collaborates to:

  • Analyze the business opportunity
  • Generate product requirements

## Challenges we ran into

Designing realistic executive collaboration

One of the biggest challenges was creating a system where multiple AI executives could work together while maintaining role-specific expertise and avoiding conflicting recommendations.

Turning advice into action

Many AI applications generate reports but fail to help users execute. We had to design workflows that transformed strategic outputs into actionable tasks through GitLab.

Balancing complexity and usability

Executive-level planning involves enormous amounts of information. Creating an interface that remained intuitive and approachable while handling sophisticated multi-agent workflows required significant design effort.

Maintaining consistent decision-making

Ensuring that strategy, finance, technology, marketing, and operations remained aligned across all executive agents was a major architectural challenge.

## What we learned

Throughout the project, we learned that the real value of AI is not generating information—it's enabling execution.

We discovered that:

  • Founders need structured execution plans more than additional information.

Most importantly, we learned that the future of AI lies in collaborative systems that can reason, coordinate, and take action across multiple domains.
