Inspiration

We all want to skip things sometimes , meetings, gym sessions, even weddings. I wanted to create something fun, absurd, and shareable , an app that gives people the perfect excuse to dip out of any commitment.

What It Does

This app is an AI-powered "Excuse Generator" that gives you hilarious and unexpected excuses for skipping work, school, the gym, or whatever you're trying to avoid.

Users select a category, click a button, and get an excuse like:

"Sorry, I can't come. My parrot just confessed to a crime and I need to hire a lawyer."

It's completely random and designed for humor and virality.

How I Built It

This project was created in a single prompt using Bolt as part of the One-Shot Challenge. The app was generated instantly, with UI, copy, and logic included. All I did was refine the idea and hit deploy.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was crafting a single prompt that would produce both a functional app and a funny user experience. I experimented with different tones and examples until I got consistently good results.

What I Learned

This project showed how powerful prompt engineering can be. You don’t need to write code , you just need the right idea and words. Bolt makes rapid prototyping not just fast, but fun.
