Inspiration
University students often struggle to decide which topics to revise first, especially when multiple exams are approaching. ExamSprint was created to make exam preparation more organized and effective.
What it does
ExamSprint is a smart study revision planner that automatically ranks study topics based on exam urgency and student confidence.
Main features:
- Dynamic Priority Score from 1 to 100
- High, Medium, and Low priority classifications
- Automatic revision queue sorting
- Add, edit, and delete study topics
- Real-time confidence updates
- Complete and restore study topics
- Dashboard progress tracking
- Browser localStorage persistence
How we built it
ExamSprint was developed using React, Vite, JavaScript, and Vanilla CSS.
The application uses a rule-based scoring algorithm:
Priority Score = Urgency Points + Confidence Points
React manages the interactive dashboard, while JavaScript calculates and updates the priority rankings. Browser localStorage saves the study data without requiring a backend server.
The project was planned using the Devpost Learn Skill Pack and developed with assistance from Google Antigravity.
Challenges
A key development challenge was creating a priority calculation system that was simple, consistent, and understandable.
Another challenge was ensuring that scores, rankings, and dashboard statistics updated automatically whenever students changed their study information.
What I learned
Through this project, I gained practical experience in React component development, state management, JavaScript algorithms, form validation, browser storage, AI-assisted development, and structured software planning.
What's next
Future improvements could include personalized study schedules, calendar integration, reminders, and optional cloud synchronization.## Inspiration
