Inspiration

Online examinations can face unexpected disruptions, technical issues, and incidents that affect the examination experience. We wanted to build a solution that helps institutions monitor exams, manage incidents, and maintain session continuity.

What it does

ExamResQ is an examination management solution focused on reliability and continuity during online exams. It provides features for exam monitoring, incident management, risk identification, session continuity, and reporting to help administrators understand and respond to potential disruptions.

How we built it

We developed ExamResQ as a web-based application with separate interfaces for students and administrators. The project focuses on a clear dashboard experience, structured incident workflows, monitoring views, and organized reporting. The implementation combines frontend technologies and data-management components to present examination-related information in an accessible way.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was organizing multiple examination-related features into a simple, understandable interface. We also worked to present monitoring, alerts, incident management, and session continuity in a way that would be easy to demonstrate and understand.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have developed a working project demonstration that brings several examination management concepts together in one platform. We also received a Special Category Award for Best Solution at the MP Online Limited Hackathon 2026, where our team won ₹15,000.

What we learned

We learned the importance of understanding the real problems users face, prioritizing essential features, designing clear user interfaces, and communicating a technical solution effectively. We also gained experience in collaborating as a team and presenting a project within hackathon constraints.

What's next for ExamResQ

Our next steps include improving the reliability of the platform, refining incident management workflows, strengthening monitoring and reporting, and exploring integrations with real examination systems. We also aim to evaluate risk-identification approaches and develop more robust session-continuity mechanisms.
