Inspiration

We were inspired by the difficulty students face in finding easy, exam-ready notes and short revision material in one place. The aim was to reduce confusion and save time by improving study efficiency

What it does

Exam Buddy AI helps students prepare effectively using an AI chatbot, short notes generator, study planner, timetable planner, and exam reminders—keeping everything needed for exam preparation on a single platform.

How we built it

We built Exam Buddy AI using TypeScript, Vite, and React for a fast and scalable frontend. Tailwind CSS was used for a clean and responsive UI. The AI chatbot was integrated using the Gemini 3 API.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was AI integration—handling API responses, optimizing performance, and managing limitations. Debugging async behavior and ensuring smooth user experience with real-time AI answers required multiple iterations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a fully functional AI-powered student app with planning tools and downloadable notes. Creating a smooth UI and meaningful features using modern frontend technologies was a major achievement.

What we learned

We learned how to effectively use AI tools for learning development concepts and generating code. By using AI assistance alongside TypeScript, React, and APIs, we improved our problem-solving skills and accelerated the development process.

What's next for Exam Buddy AI

Next, we plan to add personalized AI study recommendations, progress tracking, offline notes, mobile optimization, and more advanced exam analytics to make Exam Buddy AI even smarter and more helpful.
